Chipperfield	Michael	1989	QGM	PC	With Explosives Officer Derek Pickford. Both involved in prolonged search of a hotel room and found a concealed terrorist explosive device which Mr Pickford made safe.

Goad	Roger	1976	George Cross	Captain	Civil Staff explosives officer who attempted to defuse a bomb in a shop doorway in Kensington Church Street immediately after tackling another incident. The device exploded and killed him instantly.
Greaves		1970	BEM for gallantry	PC	Whilst serving in S Wales.
Griffiths	William Ian	1974	BEM for gallantry	DS	Persisted in struggling and detaining violent man despite being stabbed, and bleeding profusely.
Griffiths	John	1970	BEM for gallantry	PC	Disarmed man with loaded double-barrelled shotgun, and chased and arrested him despite threats from lock knife and iron bar.
Grove	Bryan Errol	1974	QGM	PC	Involved in pursuit of armed robbers at Ley Street, Ilford in 1974
Guenigault	Charlie	2018	GM	PC	Whilst off duty and without protection, confronted three armed terrorists who attacked the public at London Bridge and Borough Market in June 2017 and sustained serious injuries. Other awards also made.
Gurney	Peter Edwin Spencer	1983	Bar to GM	MP Civilian	Already MBE and GM Awarded bar to his George Medal for disarming an explosive device immediately after his colleague Kenneth Howorth had been killed by a similar bomb.

Henderson	Donald Victor	1976	George Medal	Major	Awarded as the result of displaying courage and calmness during his work as an Explosives Officer involved in attending numerous IRA bombing incidents.
Henley	Malcolm	1983	QGM	PC	Whilst off duty, disarmed a gunman after he had robbed a security guard
Heyes	Gordon	1979	QGM	PC	Chased an armed man who had robbed a petrol station, continuing on to an arrest despite being shot in leg.
Hills	Michael	1974	George Medal	PC	Involved in an incident involving a kidnap attack on HRH The Princess Anne in The Mall, in which Inspector Beaton was awarded the George Cross. PC Hills disarmed the assailant, despite having been shot.
Howells	Martin	1988	QGM	PC	Involved in serious public disorder at Broadwater Farm on 6th October 1985. Under the leadership of Sgt David Pengelly GM, the officers went to protect firemen engaged in attempting to extinguish fire caused by rioters. PC Blakelock was killed.
Howorth	Kenneth	1983	George Medal	Explosives Officer	Killed whilst dealing with an IRA bomb in Oxford Street during the course of his duties as an Explosives Officer
Humm	Frank	1975	QGM	PC	With PC Gordon Usher. Stabbed by violent mentally deranged man in the neck, but continued to grapple with assailant to protect PC Gregory also involved in violent struggle who was repeatedly stabbed in face, head and neck. Called for assistance and first aid for collapsed colleague as the man escaped from scene.
Humphrey	Paul	2007	QGM	Explosives Officer	Worked alone with hand tools and by torch light outside a night club to make safe a car bomb that contained unstable gas cylinders, petrol and metal for shrapnel injuries
Kemp	Edward	1995	QGM	PC	With PC Patrick Kielty. Confronted by three armed robbers but chased and arrested a suspect despite being threatened and fired upon during the chase.
Kerr	David McMorrin	1974	Queen's Commendation	PS	With Inspector Riley, arrested armed woman who entered magistrates court public gallery and attempted to release prisoner from the dock.

McGlinchey	Kevin William Daniel	1998	Queen's Commendation	PC	Driver of police car, pursued armed robbers in car chase despite having shots fired and patrol car windscreen shattered. Later pursued them on foot and suspects arrested.

Moore	Lesley	1992	Stanhope Gold Medal	WPC	In January 1992, was swung across to a sloping fourth floor dormer window roof in Ryder Street SW1 to render first aid to an injured workman, and remained there for an hour in strong winds until rescued with Fire Brigade equipment
Morrison	James	1994	QGM	DC	Whilst off duty, pursued a violent thief on foot, who stabbed him to death. See Roll of Honour

Pengelly	David	1988	George Medal	PS	Involved as Sergeant of a team of officers protecting firemen during the Broadwater Farm riot in 1985, in which PC Keith Blakelock was killed. PC Blakelock and ten other officers were awarded the Queen’s Gallantry Medal.

Simpson	Neil	1993	QGM	PC	On 13 April 1989 responded to a raid by known armed criminals at a post office. Pursued suspects in high speed car chase and then on foot, returning fire despite being wounded and with no cover.

Tibble	Stephen Andrew	1976	Posthumous QPM for gallantry	PC	While riding his motor-cycle off-duty, saw a man with a gun being chased by three plain-clothes officers. PC Tibble overtook him, dismounted, and approached, whereupon the suspect (IRA) shot him three times and killed him.

Whiting	Michael Anthony	1974	Posthumous QPM for gallantry	PC	Thrown from a car whose suspicious movements had led police to question the driver, and whose driver tried to escape at reckless speed, deliberately colliding with other vehicles to try and shake him off. Officer died the same day.
